Wolverine Peak & Near Point

Left car and Prospect Heights Trailhead at 10am. Hiked Wolverine Peak, traversed to Near Point, then down. Returned to car at 2:15pm.

North Fork Campbell Creek and Long Lake on left. Williwaw Lakes basin and Middle Fork valley on right.

Once above the brush-bear-moose zone, Lucy is free to chase ptarmigans and dall sheep in peace.

Anchorage, Fire Island, Potter Marsh, Knik Arm, and the Alaska Range in clouds on the horizon.

Easy traverse from Wolverine Peak to Near Peak in distance.
