Exciting Yard Clean Up
We are tackling the alder patch this spring. By "we", of course, I mean Hilary.
Here we are again, hard at it. Raking up something this time. We forget what and why.
I look like this now...I'm on the left, in the dress.
In order to tame the snow and ice that accumulates in the driveway, I put in a low timber beam wall along the driveway. Hopefully, it will keep my parking space from becoming a sheet of glare ice. All winter, snow drifts would pile up in the yard, partially melt during the day, flow onto the driveway, form a puddle, and refreeze in the evening (2pm). We'll see if the wall stops this cycle.
I also cleared out a bunch of shrubbery from under the trees out front.
