"Walker Hounds love to be warm, a consequence of their thin coats and Tennessee breeding. In cold, snowy climates, they can capably work out of doors for long hours if kept moving (i.e., running, tracking). Winter months, however, can be challenging for Walkers when work slows down and life moves indoors. A Walker kept indoors during Winter will tend to get creative. Some may resort to extreme measures in order to recreate that feeling of a sunny porch in August."
